TITLE: Box Office
Manager
REPORTS
TO: Director of Ticket Operations
JOB
SUMMARY: The Box Office Manager will be responsible for
ensuring that the ticket office runs efficiently through proper training, event
management, leadership and the oversight of the day-to-day function of the Box
Office.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
·
Assist in creation and distribution of event
financial statements for management and promoters.
·
Administer client box office fees based on
negotiated rates in event contract when needed.
·
Manage box office operations during events.
·
Manage event and daily staffing requirements and
post on a monthly schedule.
·
Supervise Part Time Ticket Sellers, attendance,
performance and training needs.
· Manage the fulfillment of Group Sales, Club
Member orders along with Season Ticketing Packages, season payment plans and
seat requirements.
·
Create daily, weekly, monthly and annual sales
reports for internal staff and external agencies.
·
Assist with event creation and maintenance in the
ticketing system.
·
Assist with ticket sales when needed, provide
superior customer service.
·
Support box office daily operations.
·
Assist Management with interviewing and training
of new staff as necessary.
·
Assist with the implementation of marketing
promotions and initiatives.
·
Cash control and reconciliation.
·
Support staff in resolving customer issues and
interfacing with other departments.
·
Perform general administrative tasks such as
filing, record maintenance, etc
· Willingness to work long and irregular hours,
including weekends and evenings according to event schedule.
·
Assist the Director of Ticket Operations with
additional tasks as needed.
REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
·
Two years supervisory experience required.
·
Understanding and use of computerized ticketing required
·
Two years customer service experience required.
·
Cash management experience required.
·
Proficient typing skills required.
·
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
·
Strong time management skills required
·
Ability to maintain composure and decision making skills in
stressful situations.
·
Ability to deal professionally, courteously and tactfully
with the public and coworkers.
·
Ability to communicate and develop an effective working
relationship with fellow associates, managers, outside representatives and
agencies.
·
Ability to read, write and communicate
effectively with co-workers and others.
